Delegation of Royal Irrigation Department (RID) of Thailand visiting Rural Research Institute (RRI) and Korean National Committee on Irrigation and Drainage (KCID)

Delegation of Royal Irrigation Department (RID) of Thailand will visit Rural Research Institute (RRI) of Korea Rural Community & Agriculture Cooperation (KRC) and Korean National Committee on Irrigation and Drainage (KCID) from September 22 to 26 for the purpose of establishment of international cooperation system, exchange of advanced country's technique, field trips to Korean rural water management sites and reclaimed land. RID consists of 18 departments and 16 regional offices, and a research center.
The major tasks of RID are maintenance and management of irrigation and drainage facilities, development of cropping area, planning of related policy and prevention of rural disasters. Also it has 105 years history since its establishment in 1903. Thailand National Committee on Irrigation and Drainage (THAICID) is placed in RID.
